Values

Fashion should make you feel good. To us, that includes empowering people and continually working towards having a lesser impact on the environment.

Our Team

ANDWELLDRESSED Studio apparel are designed and developed in-house in Singapore by an all women team and produced abroad. As it is important to us that the people behind our clothes are treated fairly, we do factory checks to make sure that the factories we work with provide good working conditions and fair wages for their workers.

Sustainability

We are continually working with our suppliers to improve environmental sustainability compliance and to explore more environmentally friendly options in the production phase. This includes working with the excess fabric from clothing production by upcycling them. For our first studio collection, we gathered leftover material from the manufacturing process and repurposed them into hair scrunchies. We are also looking to introduce more sustainable materials like Tencel, Modal, linen and organic fiber into our line.

Reducing, Reusing and Upcycling

At our store, we offer a reusable tote bag at a token charge for customers with every purchase to discourage the use of single-use plastics. We support other green merchandise at our store such as reusable metal straw sets and Huskee coffee cups which are made from coffee husk; a waste material in the coffee production process. In line with reducing single use plastic, we have also opted for paper packaging over the conventional plastic mailer bag for shipping. Our clothing bags and paper mailers are designed to be re-sealable so that they can be repurposed and reused.

Slower Fashion

Each ANDWELLDRESSED Studio piece is designed with attention to construction, with versatility in mind and produced to last. We are looking to produce more designs that can be worn in a multitude of ways to increase the number of wears it can get. On top of this, we are moving into seasonal collections with bi-monthly to monthly drops in small productions to move away from the fast fashion business model.

Garment Care

About a quarter of the environmental footprint of an apparel happens after it is purchased. Most of our clothing can be cold washed and line dry to further help in environmental efforts after they leave our store. Find out more about how to make a difference just by doing your laundry right here.

It is an uphill battle and more can always be done. We are committed to continuously adapt better processes and strive for accumulative actions that we hope will one day be the industry’s norm.
